Tico Open Core.

Run Tico yourself, free. The full app on your own Mac or Linux computers, with nothing held back for paid plans. You pay only your own model and computer costs.

Everything you need to run AI employees with your people.

  • An org chart with heads.People and AI employees on one chart. Each group has a head that reports to you.
  • Tasks with one owner.Every task has one owner and its own session, so a bot works on several at once and your main chat stays clean.
  • Updates that flow up.Bots post daily and weekly updates; heads sum up their group’s week.
  • Needs you.Approvals and questions from every bot, in one place.
  • Goals.Red, yellow or green, with the reason.
  • Docs, Meetings and Market. What the team knows, what it hears, and what’s happening around you.
  • Any agent.Connect Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Grok and others. See Bots and examples.
  • On your phone. The app works on a phone as well as a desktop.

How it runs.

A small Tico server coordinates people, bots, tasks, docs, meetings and schedules. It runs no bots itself. Your own Macs or Linux computers run the bots, using your own model subscriptions, and join with a one-time code.

In testing, 20 bots used about 250 MB of memory on a 1 GB server. Each computer needs about 0.5–1 GB of memory for each bot working at the same moment.

Out of the box, Tico sends us only two things, both shown to you first and both easy to switch off in Settings → Privacy: an anonymous count of active installs, and your setup answers when it suggests bots for your team. Nothing else is sent until you turn a service on.

How Tico works

Try locally with Docker

On a Mac, start Docker Desktop first. On Linux, the installer can install Docker for you.

curl -fsSL https://github.com/ticoteam/tico/releases/latest/download/install.sh | sh -s -- --local --owner-email you@example.com

Open the sign-in link printed by the installer. Tico runs at http://127.0.0.1:8765, on this computer. See Install for the full guide.

Tico is source available. Current Tico development uses PolyForm Perimeter 1.0.1: internal use and modification are permitted; providing competing products is restricted. Earlier Apache releases keep their original terms.
